How we measure progress

St. Michael Academy follows DepEd’s grading system from Grade 1 to Grade 12. Grades 1 to 10 run in four quarters; Senior High School runs in two semesters of two quarters each.

Nursery to Grade 6

Primary Curriculum

Our primary curriculum emphasizes foundational literacy, numeracy, and cognitive development through hands-on learning and interactive play.

Grade 7 to Grade 12

Secondary Curriculum

Our secondary curriculum provides rigorous college-preparatory coursework, advanced sciences, and humanities to prepare students for higher education.

The Michaelian Journey

Fifteen years, three chapters

From the first morning of Nursery to the last of Grade 12, one continuous formation.

  1. Nursery to Grade 6

    Primary

    Foundational literacy, numeracy and cognitive development, taught through hands-on learning and interactive play. These are the years where curiosity is given room to harden into a habit.

  2. Grade 7 to Grade 10

    Junior High School

    Character takes shape alongside coursework. Students meet the MICHAEL principles as daily practice, and are given room to range widely across subjects before anything has to be chosen.

  3. Grade 11 to Grade 12

    Senior High School

    Rigorous college-preparatory coursework, advanced sciences and humanities. Students lead here — in classrooms, in clubs, in service — and leave equipped for whatever follows, with Virtus et Sapientia made their own.

    Submit the online application form.

    Submit the required documents.

    Take the SMA Entrance Examination (Grade 1 and above).

  4. 4

    Attend an interview with the Guidance Counselor or Department Head.

  5. 5

    Pay the fees and complete your official registration.
